House of Cards is a work which refers to the Short-Tailed Shearwaters or Muttonbirds, which nest on Griffiths Island, near Port Fairy, in Spring and Summer. These birds may have been exposed to radioactive cesium isotopes from Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant, on their annual migration to Australia.

How to make your own Geiger Counter and Ghost Bird examines how other species of migratory birds found on the Australian coast, such as the Japanese Snipe, may also be affected by nuclear radiation.

The Earless Rabbits of the Exclusion Zone asks the viewer to consider how they would feel if it was Peter Rabbit and his family who got caught in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone, like the earless bunny, born not long after the Fukushima Disaster.
