Installation Bad Plastic 2010
When biodegradable plastics break down in the ocean they mimic small fish and are ingested by birds, fish, dolphins and seals causing choking, obstructions in their digestive tracts and sometimes starvation. Some plastics also leach toxins into the sea as well as poison the food chain.

This is a new blog by a friend Catherine Bailey. I’m a fan of her work, in particular this plastic bag installation piece. What strikes me is the simplicity of this piece and how casual that was. It really works. It reminds me not to over-think things too much. Catherine has created this blog to profile some of her work. Worth a little look.
