response to permewan’s shed

Finding loads of shoe boxes decorated with a running river theme, combined with a flood story from a local elder, I made this installation of the flood watermark on the outside of the Permewan’s shed, in Hamilton, in 2015. It was a quick response to the immediate environment and history of the shed. I love the tag on the outside of the shed.  Bummer it is not mine. I prefer working on the outside of a building and thanks to artist Trevor Flinn for the opportunity to do this.
