The DIGS Project

digs.jpgMy daughter was walking to school and said the words “I wish I could eat from everyone’s garden all the way to school”.   About this time I attended a tree planting by a passionate local ecologist/botanist and admired the way she worked with the land and people to engage the community about the environment. We talked and “DIGS” was born. An indigenous garden and outdoor learning space, located in the local Narrawong District School, informed by the Gunditjmara people, with sculptural interpretative signage designed by the local school children.
